Bloke poos out Apple Airpod after accidentally swallowing it – and it still works
The headphone even had 41 per cent battery when it was found in the toilet
A MAN has pooed out his Apple Airpods after accidentally swallowing them in his sleep - and they still worked.
Ben Tsu, from Taiwan, fell asleep with his AirPods in his ears, but woke up unable to find the right earbud anywhere.
After scouring his room - using the 'Find My Airpods' app on his phone - Ben quickly discovered his headphone was a lot closer than he first thought.
"The map showed that my AirPod was at home, and I could hear the 'beep, beep' sound, which seemed to follow me around the room
"But I checked under my blanket and looked around but couldn't find it - then I realised the sound was coming from my stomach!
"I swallowed my AirPod!"
Although he didn't feel any discomfort at the time, the navy recruiter rushed off to the Kaohsiung Municipal United Hospital where medics confirmed it was in his stomach.
The doctors gave him a laxative and told him to monitor his poos over the coming days.
But they warned that if it didn't pass, he would have to undergo surgery.
It didn't take long for the headphone to pass through his system, with Ben relieving himself at a local train station.
He then rifled through his own faeces, without gloves, to locate the AirPod - which cost £65.
After giving it a quick wash, he was shocked to find that the headphone still worked.

"The battery was still at 41 percent! It was incredible."
Dr Chen Chieh-fan, who works in the emergency department at the hospital, said: "Because of the plastic shell around the AirPod, the risk of it causing him harm in a similar way to swallowing a regular lithium-ion battery is much lower."
Experts have warned though that direct exposure to the AirPod's battery could have caused a serious rupture in his intestines.
