Matthew McConaughey dons a disguise to trick passersby into thinking they’re eating ‘food laced with drugs’ – and their reactions are priceless
The Hollywood star dressed up as Moondog from upcoming movie The Beach Bum to trick pedestians - and even Snoop Dogg makes an appearance
MATTHEW McConaughey wore a disguise to trick passersby into pretending they were high – by offering them food he claimed was laced with drugs.
In a hilarious video filmed for Jimmy Kimmel Live! the Hollywood star offers people a range of ‘cannabis-infused’ items including hot dogs and body spray.
The actor, 49, dresses as character Moondog – a marijuana enthusiast from his new flick The Beach Bum.
And he is completely unrecognised on Hollywood Boulevard as he goes about hoodwinking his unsuspecting victims into thinking they’re on drugs.
In the clip, McConaughey asks a woman: “You wanna get high?” before telling her the drug is a “very quick ramp, meaning in five to six seconds you’re gonna feel it”.
He then proceeds to offer her a ‘pot dog’ and claims he’s infused THC (the ingredient in weed that gets you high) in the ketchup and mustard.
They are obviously just regular condiments – but it doesn’t stop the woman from immediately feeling the ‘effects’ of the drug.
McConaughey shoves the hot dog into her mouth before counting down from six.
No sooner has he finished the countdown that she begins laughing hysterically and says she feels “tingly”, adding: “That’s crazy.”
The vid then cuts to McConaughey giving another man eye drops, who responds: “Woah dude. What just happened?”
A third bloke is then filmed drinking a concoction before saying: “I’m feeling a little something, something relaxing coming over me. Like I’m at the beach.”
Perhaps even more hilariously McConaughey then sprays another man all over with body spray – prompting him to say: “That’s tight, bro. I like that,” and ask for his business card.
The Beach Bum, which was released in the US yesterday, sees the Dallas Buyers Club star play a rebellious burnout who lives by his own rules.
It also stars Isla Fisher, Zac Efron, Jonah Hill and Snoop Dogg (obviously – it’s a film about weed after all).
Snoop even makes a cameo at the end of the video, which returns to McConaughey’s first victim.
As he spoons a pot of what looks like baby food into her mouth, a bus pulls up with Snoop poking his head out.
When the woman looks shellshocked to see him, McConaughey says: “See what happens?”
