The plotlines are still relatable; the shenanigans are still enjoyable.
Could this show BE anymore legendary?
Brooklyn Nine Nine
Imagine the spirit of Friends but set in a New York police precinct.
Millions of people were entertained by the antics of man-child Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), the austere Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), the useless Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker) and Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller), and so many other brilliant characters.
The show was so popular that when Fox tried to cancel it after five series, fans rallied to have it brought back and they were successful!
The show moved to NBC and produced three more series.
How noooice is that!
The Big Bang Theory
Imagine the spirit of Friends but with nerds.
The Big Bang Theory used the tried-and-tested formula of friends who live in the same building, adding in characters from the university where Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) work.
SPIN THE MEGA WHEEL DAILY FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN BIG PRIZES
From that model came the adventures of these genius scientists and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) the waitress, navigating the real world.
There are plenty of great banzingas throughout the show.
Vicar of Dibley
It isn’t just the US that can make great Friday night TV.
This show was incredibly topical. It aired in 1994, in the immediate aftermath of changes in the Church of England that finally allowed women to become vicars.
TAKE A SPIN ON SUN BINGO'S MAGICAL SLOTS
The show focuses on Dibley, an Oxfordshire village, dealing with the arrival of their new FEMALE vicar, Geraldine, and her reaction to being thrown into a small village where everyone knows everyone and their business.
There’s no, no, no, no way it won’t have you laughing.
Blackadder
Now this is a blast from the past!
Enjoy the fresh faces of Rowan Atkinson, Tony Robinson, Hugh Laurie, Tim McInnerny, Miranda Richardson and Stephen Fry, as each series is set in a different time period and centres on the life of Edmund Blackadder.

From the Middle Ages through to a millennium special, Edmund and his useless servant Baldrick somehow muddle along through the chaos that they have usually been responsible for creating.
This is partly because Baldrick always has a cunning plan brewing.
Absolutely Fabulous
While Blackadder is a male-led comedy, Ab Fab is all about the girls!
Plus, we couldn’t ignore this classic sitcom when it shares a name with our sister site, Fabulous Bingo.
Edina Monsoon (Jennifer Saunders) and Patsy Stone (Joanna Lumley) are at the centre of this dysfunctional family.
As aging Mods, who have money to spare, they indulge in any fancy they like in order to stay young and relevant.

Friday Night Dinner
A show literally made for Friday night viewing!
The Goodmans always gather on a Friday night to enjoy their Shabbat meal as a family.
It’s never long before a peaceful evening goes out the window and chaos ensues.
This isn’t helped by the presence of their overly keen, eccentric neighbour, Jim (Mark Heap), and other eclectic – often uninvited – guests.

Two Doors Down
Speaking of uninvited guests… Two Doors Down is all about the residents of Latimer Crescent, a middle-class Glasgow suburb where there’s enough room for the residents to not have to live on top of each other… but they choose to anyway.
Beth (Arabella Weir) and Eric () star at the centre of the madness.
They can never enjoy a moment’s peace without one of their nosy neighbours crashing in with the latest drama that needs solving.
There’s no such things as social boundaries on a street like this.
They’ll just pop in for a wee moment, say hello, maybe have a cup of tea.
