Great British Bake Off is back – here’s how to whip up a game of GBBO bingo

There’s a tent full of fresh bakers waiting to warm up our Tuesday evenings.

Unless one of the bakers does something wrong, then it’s one of the most stressful things to watch on TV.
Many celebrate the return of Bake Off by replicating the recipes attempted by the show’s hopeful amateur bakers each week.
However, as seen on the show, that can be a recipe for disaster.

To create your own Bake Off bingo cards, you’ll need:
- Pieces of paper with 3x3 grids drawn onto them.
- Dabbers.
- Your baker’s crew (as many friends / family as want to join in).
- Tea and sweet treats (if you think you’re making it through an episode of Bake Off without grabbing your own baked treat, you’re in for a surprise).

Pick eight events that are likely to happen during a classic Bake Off episode and write them down on your bingo card, leaving the middle square blank.
In this middle square, note your Bake Off inspired bingo name.
That could be “The Prue is in the pudding”, “Hollywood’s Hero”, “Noel stopping me now” or "Ali-sunny side up".
If one of your guessed events happens on the show, mark it off with your dabber!

If you want to have multiple winners, you can award a prize for 1L and 2L (which is when a prize is given to the first player to mark off one complete line, and two complete lines).
However, if there’s only room for one star baker, they’ll be the first to get a full house (when all things on your bingo card have been marked off).
This game could be played over one episode (and the winner is the player with the most squares marked off) or your bingo game could play out over the series, until a full house winner is crowned.
