Brew, Biccy, Bingo

I played with £10 on Fabulous Bingo and now I’m off to meet celebrities

FABULOUS BINGO is home to all of the bingo games that you know and love.

However, there are also exclusive rooms that you can only find on The Sun’s gaming platforms.

In these rooms, you can play a variety of bingo games, from 36-ball to 90-ball.

This week’s Brew, Biccy, Bingo is all about these rooms.

With my usual budget of £10, I dived into the Fabulous Bingo VIP spaces to see how far my money could go.

The result was VERY exciting.

Was I an A-list bingo player? Did I put the fab in Fabulous Bingo? Was there cause for celeb-ration?

Let’s see how I got on!

The Brew

In a fine bone china mug, all the way from Hong Kong, I had a glorious Earl Grey tea, all the way from the local Sainsbury’s.

The Biccy

The sweet treat this week was a Herdy Shortbread Oval. This baa-rilliant biscuit is oval shaped with a sheep indented into it.

There’s a challenge called #ReleaseTheSheep where you attempt to nibble the biscuit into the sheep shape.

It’s like a family-friendly Squid Game challenge.

HOW TO PLAY BINGO FOR A PENNY

The Bingo

Now, the moment of truth – how did I get on with the bingo!

All the rooms that I played in were listed under the “Exclusive” tab on the bingo page.

  • Mystic Meg Bingo
  • Spent £3.50, won £25

This was a fantastic start!

I played in the £25 Mystic Meg Bingo! session.

The Mystic Meg room hosts 50-ball bingo. It’s open from 9am to midnight every day, and there’s over 450 winners daily.

Each ticket (you’re only allowed one ticket per game) consists of 10 astrological symbols.

They look like little bubbles, which float around the screen and when they are called, they pop and disappear in a puff of smoke.

There isn’t a prize for 1L or 2L, just the full house.

This was a multi-price bingo session, so the prize money increased with the ticket price.

I played two games at 25p, one at £1 and one at £2. As I won the full house with a ticket at the maximum ticket price (£2), I won £25!

This is my biggest win on a solo bingo game to date, so it was a great way to get into this week’s Brew, Biccy Bingo.

My winnings were already over double my stake.

HAVE YOU DISCOVERED SLINGO GAMES?

  • Winning Headlines
  • Spent £3.50, won nothing

Well, you can’t always win!

However, there’s so much more to bingo than the winning. Although, it’s pretty nice to win as well.

I was more engaged in the chat room for the games in this room. That meant Gossip Corner and seeing what roomies are up to.

I picked a good time as the host put on a game of Elemental. To be eligible, you must have wagered at least £2 in the past seven days.

Thanks to my trip to Mystic Meg, that included me. Eligible players are automatically entered.

A pop-up appears with a matching game. Match the symbols to form three in a row.

Keep going until the timer stops. The player with the highest score gets a bingo bonus.

This wasn’t me. I panicked, floundered and did not win.

PLAY THE DAILY SPIN-GO WHEEL TO WIN UP TO £100 CASH

Meanwhile, my three games at a £2, £1 and 50p stake, respectively, were not successful.

This was another multi-price bingo session. I could buy only one ticket per game.

Winning Headlines is a fast room, hosting 36-ball bingo. That meant the Hot off the Press! jackpot must be won in 16 calls or less.

This seems tight, but if it does happen, there’s £10,000 to be won on a £2 ticket!

The second jackpot in this room, the Deadline Jackpot! is a little more generous, allowing 18 calls.

The maximum win from that jackpot is £1,000. There is actually a third jackpot as well, Headline Jackpot!

This is a community jackpot that can be triggered only if the winning call is a special Sun symbol ball and all six such symbols have been called during the game.

  • Brit 50 Bingo
  • Spent £3, won £16.87

What a nice ending to this week’s Brew, Biccy, Bingo!

Luck was on my side this week, perhaps it was thanks to the magpie I saluted this morning.

As with the other two exclusive rooms, I could only buy one ticket per game – but that’s all you need in order to win!

The 10 symbols on the ticket are floating bubbles, as with the Mystic Meg ticket.

Fittingly, as this is the Brit room, the symbols are UK themed. That means there’s Sherlock Holmes, shamrocks, highland cows and everything in between.

Once again, it was multi-price, so I played two 50p games (and won £1.87 in one of them) and a £2 game.

The latter is where I scooped the maximum full house prize – £15!

This room is great for building the suspense because when your ticket gets to the final two symbols, they begin to pulsate and things suddenly feel very dramatic.

SEE HOW FAR £10 CAN GET YOU IN SUN BINGO'S SPEEDY BINGO ROOMS

Are you gonna bingo?

It always amazes me how varied playing bingo can be. No two sessions are the same.

Sometimes, it’s more about the fun, the community and trying out rooms.

At other times, there’s also a winnings pot to enjoy!

As today was the latter, I had to have a good think about how to utilise my £41.87, while honouring the theme of exclusivity.

There’s an iconic London site that I’ve always wanted to go to, much like those celebrated in the Brit 50 Room.

Plus, it’s full of celebrities who know all about the VIP lifestyle.

So, I’m going to buy:

  • One adult admission to Madame Tussauds for £33.50

That even leaves enough for a treat in the gift shop as well!
