Emmerdale fans – guess what will happen next with a play-along bingo card
HOW well do you know the ITV Yorkshire Dales soap? Enough to predict what will happen next?
On 16th October 1972, the first episode of a new daytime show called "Emmerdale Farm" premiered.
The focus was the Sugden family and their farm in Beckindale, a fictional Yorkshire Dales village.
By 1989, Emmerdale Farm had been moved to an evening slot in all ITV regions, and the title was changed to "Emmerdale".
Following THE plane crash of 30th December 1993 (which remains the soap’s most viewed episode, with a viewing figure of 18 million), the survivors changed the village’s name Emmerdale.

Emmerdale is the second longest running UK soap. As such, many people and storylines have come and gone.
However, avid viewers might just well be able to guess what will come next.
When that’s the case, ‘appen it’s time for a game of play-along Emmerdale Bingo!

How to play
To create your own play-along Emmerdale Bingo card, you’ll need:
- A piece of paper with a 3x3 grid.
- A dabber.
- Your fellow play-along players.
- Snacks and drinks, to make this play-along game a real party!
Pick eight things to write on your bingo card, leaving the middle square blank.
In the blank square, note your bingo name – there’s a bonus point for the most creative Emmerdale-inspired name (e.g. “The Dingle-berries” or “(Jimmy) King of Bingo”.
If one of your chosen things happens in the show, mark it off your card with your dabber.
If you want to have multiple winners, you can award a prize for 1L and 2L (which is when a prize is given to the first player to mark off one complete line, and two complete lines).

However, if there’s only room for one Emmerdale Emperor on the throne, they will be the first to get a full house (when all things on your bingo card have been marked off).
This game could be played over one episode (and the winner is the player with the most squares marked off) or your bingo game could play out over multiple episodes, until a full house winner is crowned.
Gather all the players together, get the snacks and drinks ready, and get ready for a trip to the Dales.
