Meet Lisa Peace – the Sunbather Woman in Sun Bingo’s latest TV ad
SUN BINGO’s new TV advert recently launched. We caught up with the cast to get an insight into their lives. First up – Sunbather Woman.
As the sun is a celestial body, it’s only fitting that Sun Bingo’s new TV ad launched on Star Wars day, Wednesday 4th May.

Viewers got a chance to meet the first four of our new characters, one of which is Sunbather Woman.
However, that’s not her real name (shocking, we know). Actor Lisa Peace is our Sunbather Woman.
She recently sat down with Sun Bingo to talk about her bingo habits, dream holiday destinations and covid-19 lockdown hobbies.
Please meet Lisa Peace!
Lisa Peace – Sunbather Woman
On holiday, do you prefer to be by the pool or on the beach?
On the beach, definitely. I love the salt air, I love the wildness of the sea, and the freshness of the sea.
The sun beating down. The smell and the air and the atmosphere. I tend to go to the quieter cove places where there aren’t too many people.
I like my own little space on the beach, a little bit away from crowds. I like a secluded area.

If you could jet off somewhere right now, where would you go?
I would say the south of France, Cap Ferrat. Or, maybe Mauritius, somewhere like that.
Nothing too commercial, something off the beaten track. That’s why I quite like the Mediterranean sometimes, for those types of places.
Those are the places I like best. I used to go quite a lot, since the age of 15, to a place called Thassos, in Greece.

That’s beautiful. I hire a vesper and I travel around the island because it only takes about an hour or two to get around the whole island.
So with the vesper, I know all the places to go, where you can actually just go to a beach and sit there on your own.
So yeah, I absolutely love Greece and Turkey. I like it hot. I used to hate the heat, but I really embrace it now.
I really like it, as long as I’ve got some beautiful sea next to me, I love it.
Which of the Sun Bingo rooms would your friends and family assign to you?
I’m going to pick the Romance Room. I’ve had some failures when it comes to relationships, and I think a few people would like to see me settle down and be married off.
I think it would be quite nice to have a bit of romance in my life.
What brings you luck in life?
I’m into Buddhist chanting. I chant every morning and every night, and I’ve seen some results!
I got two jobs recently, Sun Bingo being one of them. I’ve also been pencilled in for another two jobs, all in the space of a month.
So, I think it’s a bit like singing – I’m also a singer. When you’re chanting, you’re also releasing some stuff, and you’re putting out good vibes, and I’m a real believer in just spreading out love and kindness, and creating goodness in the world and real connections with people, honest and authentic connections with people.

I think that does manifest, you manifest good things around you. It doesn’t always work out, life is life.
But, I think chanting really helps me to manage those difficult times in my life. I chant “nam myoho renge kyo”.
I’ve only been practising over the last few years, so I’m on a beginner’s level.
I’ve always been quite spiritual and had a bit of a faith. I think it’s something that keeps me going… Chanting and singing are an expression of the voice and you can connect with the vibration and emotion.
Do you enjoy bingo? What’s your experience of playing?
My experience of bingo is the old school format, sitting down at a table with the paper and a pencil and crossing everything off and going “BINGO!”
I have won games before. I was quite young. I remember the wooden tables and someone standing at the front being the caller.
Did you learn any new hobbies or skills during the covid-19 lockdowns? What was your go-to activity?
I walked a lot. I did the Pennine Way, walking from Derbyshire to the border of Scotland.
We were lucky that when we did it, Scotland didn’t go back into a lockdown.
So, we managed to do it with a little window of opportunity, as Scotland have been stricter with their lockdowns.
It was one of my dreams to do, and I eventually did it, and it was a great sense of achievement.

It was just incredible. We did it in two weeks, but I’d recommend doing it in three weeks, then you can relax a bit more.
We were exhausted. We laughed insanely because we were in so much pain. Then, we cried. We’d cry and then laugh insanely, and then feel the pain again.
Some nights (my friend and I were sleeping in the same room), we’d be sleeping and we’d wake up in the middle of the night, and suddenly I’d feel this pain again and cry out, or I’d hear her cry out and then we’d both start laughing.

When we finally finished, we stuffed ourselves silly. We raced to the pub before last orders, as it was quite late at night, and we were expecting this big fanfare, but everyone was like “Oh you’ve done it. Great. There’s your pint”.
We couldn’t believe we’d done it though, it was just incredible…
I want to do the West Highland Way next because I love Scotland. I’ve got a thing about Scotland… It’s breathtaking up there.
