CHRIS JERICHO says Vince McMahon has “banned him from WWE” ever since he signed for All Elite Wrestling.

The 48-year-old is one of the biggest legends ever to grace the square circle and should be nailed on for a future spot in the company’s Hall of Fame.

However, he now appears to be in the bad books with owner McMahon after joining the recently-formed AEW promotion, backed by Shahid and Tony Khan’s cash.

BANNED

When quizzed by Sirius XM on what his relationship is like with his former boss, Y2J revealed he feels like “public enemy number one”.

Jericho said: “I’ve talked with him a couple of times.

“But I’m kind of public enemy number one there now.

“I’ve been kind of removed from the annals of history.

“I asked the other day if I could have a couple of their guys on my podcast to promote Mania and I was told, ‘No, it’s not appropriate because you’re in AEW.’

“I am banned from WWE.”

Asked to explain further, the first-ever undisputed world champion said: “I think my stuff is still on there [the WWE Network]. I haven’t been disgraced.

“But as far as I know, they had to take some videos down from UpUpDownDown of me playing. Took that off.

“They edited some stuff from The Edge & Christian Show that had my name on it.”

'DON'T WANT TO BE ANOTHER GUY'

Jericho is out promoting AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view which takes place in May in Las Vegas.

And he explained his desire to still “make a difference” was behind his decision to not head back to WWE and instead join the newly-formed AEW.

During another interview with Busted Open Radio, he said: “If I go back to WWE, it’s easy. It’s the easy way to go. I know what I’ll be doing, I know where I’ll be. That’s great!

“I can do that for the rest of my career, but I don’t want that.

“I want to take a chance. I want to make a difference and do something that by Jericho showing up, people are paying attention.”

He added: “[My presence] can make a company. When I went to New Japan, I built a bridge. Prior to this match [with Omega], most fans knew about New Japan but they didn’t pay attention much to it.

“Then when they heard Jericho-Omega, a lot of fans followed. New Japan World went up 60 per cent when I went there because people are following me … they see this great match and they see everyone else.

“Same thing with AEW. I’m such a WWE guy that by going to AEW it makes a difference. I don’t want to be another guy.”
