John Cena drops hint he’ll face Kurt Angle at WrestleMania in legend’s farewell match

JOHN CENA has dropped a huge hint he could be the man to face Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 35.

Hall of Famer Angle announced his upcoming retirement on this week’s Monday Night Raw with his final “farewell match” taking place at the Showcase of the Immortals next month.

But the 50-year-old Olympic Gold Medallist did not reveal who his opponent would be.

That left many fans wondering what WWE has in store to give the former world champion a special send-off after his stellar two-decade career.

But Cena appears to have teased an epic showdown between the two legends in New Jersey on April 7 in his latest cryptic Instagram post.

The Leader of the Cenation took a trip down memory lane to share an image of a young Angle from way back in his amateur wrestling days.

And it seems Angle is keen to face his friend, who actually debuted in WWE back in 2002 by confronting the veteran, on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

During a recent backstage interview when he was quizzed on potential opponents, “Your Olympic Hero” said: “There were a lot of names that were thrown in there.

“From Cena, to AJ Styles, to Samoa Joe, to Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley… So you never know who it’s gonna be.

“I just hope that I do win and have a great WrestleMania moment.”
