Arsenal send scouts to watch Olimpia’s Paraguayan midfielder Richard Sanchez
Premier League side will face a fight for his services with Argentinian giants Boca Juniors also chasing the ace
ARSENAL scouts are reportedly set to run the rule over Paraguayuan Richard Sanchez.
Reports in South America claim that the Gunners will watch the 21-year-old in action on Monday night.
And the Premier League side could be about to launch a move for the defensive midfielder if he impresses for the Paraguay top-flight leaders against Sol De America.
The uncapped Sanchez is blossoming this season and his performances have not gone unnoticed.
Last week he received his first senior international call-up.
He is now set to make his debut for Paraguay against USA next week.
Following that news, Sanchez said: “It is very nice to be summoned to the national team, it is the dream of all players.”
Sanchez has shone for Olimpia despite the club failing to get past the second round of the Copa Libertadores this year.
'F***ING HELL' Rojo's amazing outburst at Mourinho over Sanchez
That has sparked Arsenal’s interest in the youngster, but they are not the only ones taking a look at him.
Argentinian giants Boca Juniors enquired about him last month.
But they were told in no uncertain terms that he was “non-transferable” by Olimpia’s president Marco Trovato.
report Trovato as saying: “At the moment, he is non-transferable.
“Our minds are focused on the cup and the players who stay are our team.”
