WWE Wellness Policy: As Eva Marie joins Paige and Alberto Del Rio in suspension, what is this policy which has rocked the WWE?
The company's wellness policy covers everything from recreational drugs to performance enhancers (PEDs)
THE WWE is in a state of chaos after the company suspended three of their top names this week for violating their "wellness policy".
The face of TV show "Total Divas", Eva Marie, became the latest star to fail their doping tests, following real-life couple Alberto Del Rio and Norfolk-born Paige.
SmackDown's bombshell Eva Marie was set to wrestle at this Sunday's SummerSlam in a six-woman tag team match alongside Alexa Bliss and Natalya against Becky Lynch, Carmella and Naomi. That match will instead now be a 2-on-3 handicap contest.
The statement read: "WWE has suspended Natalie Coyle (Eva Marie) for 30 days effective immediately for her first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy."
But what is this WWE Wellness Policy which has rocked the company to its very core...
The company's wellness policy covers everything from recreational drugs to performance enhancers (PEDs). Normally the stars are tested four times a year.
When a wrestler violates the wellness policy, they are immediately given a 30-day suspension. For a second violation they are given a 60-day ban, and the third strike means they get the sack.
