Everything that you need to know ahead of the 2017 Wimbledon women's singles final
THE showdown between Venus Williams and Garbine Muguruza is set to take place on Saturday.
Williams is in pursuit of her sixth Wimbledon title against the Spaniard who was ranked World No. 2 in June 2016.
What will they win?
The players will be pleased to hear that the Wimbledon prize money has gone up again this year.
Authorities have increased lasts year's prize money by £3.5m, making this years a total of £31.6m.
As a result, both women's and men's singles winners will pocket a remarkable £2.2m each.
The winner receives the coveted Venus Rosewater Dish.
They are then allowed to walk a lap around the court to display the trophy to photographers but they are not allowed to keep it. It stays at the All-England club.
From 1946-2006 the Champions have received a small replica of the trophy.
However, now the winners will take home a three-quarter replica of the trophy which bears the name of all the previous winners.
How can I watch it?
The final match will be televised live on BBC One.
Action is set to start at 2pm.
