Andy Murray comeback suffers shock end as he crashes out of Monte Carlo Masters
ANDY MURRAY’S comeback came to a shocking, abrupt halt on the clay of Monte Carlo.
World No 1 Murray seemed to have recovered from a below-par second set when he raced into a 4-0 lead in the decider against Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas.
But the Brit collapsed and crashed out of his first tournament since his return from an elbow injury.

Murray played some brilliant tennis in a tough opening set which felt like an excellent test as he tried to find his feet on clay.
But he lost his way in the second, apparently distracted by his belief that Ramos-Vinolas was receiving coaching at the changeovers, in breach of ATP Tour rules.
The Scot seemed to be on his way to victory but the world No 24 would not go away and after failing to convert three break points at 4-4, made no mistake in the 11th game and earning the right to serve for the match.
And Ramos-Vinolas claimed a quarter-final place with a 2-6 6-2 7-5 victory, the biggest of his career.
