Boss Jones said: “We’re not going to be satisfied unless we win 3-0.

“We came here to win the series 3-0 and that’s what we want to do.

“The boys started talking about it on the field and we’re committed to doing that.”

Jones added: “We’ve got a few players with bumps and bruises so will have to look at our selection very carefully but we have a great squad of 32 and we’ll start preparing for that Test tomorrow.”

England leapfrogged the Aussies to go second in the world rankings as they close in on world champions New Zealand.

In just seven months Jones has taken the nation from being a World Cup laughing stock with a ranking of eighth to Six Nations Grand Slam stars and now this — with eight wins in eight.

Jones warned: “We want to be the best team in the world.

“If the All Blacks were in this situation now, what would they be thinking?

“They’d be thinking 3-0. They beat Wales and will now be thinking 3-0.

“If we want to be the best team in the world, we have to think 3-0.

“Australia will come back because they’re a well-coached, driven team, so we’re anticipating a feisty encounter in Sydney.”

Dogged England were forced to overcome dirty tricks by the Aussies. And Jones hailed comeback king Chris Robshaw, who put in a dazzling defensive display on his 50th cap.

Jones said: “We knew they would come out and knew we had to defend and play off scraps.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team so pleased for a player to get his 50th cap after what Robshaw has been through.”
