England coach Eddie Jones: We’re looking forward to beating Australia 3-0
Red Rose chief rubs salt into the wound after clinching an incredible first-ever series win Down Under in Melbourne
EDDIE JONES demanded his England heroes go for the jugular and whitewash Australia after their historic series win Down Under.
Ruthless Jones is targeting a 3-0 win against the Wallabies after his sensational wizards of Oz did the business in Melbourne.
The Red Rose army land in Sydney on Sunday after one of the most dogged and deadly defensive displays of the modern era at the AAMI Park.
And ahead of the game in Jones' home town he said: "We're not going to be satisfied unless we win 3-0.
"This is a great result for English rugby. It's for the supporters. You have occasions in your life when you're lucky and when you coach good players you're lucky and I’m coaching then now.
"We’re looking forward to winning the series 3-0. We came here to win the series 3-0 and that’s what we want to do on Saturday.
"The boys started talking about it on the field and we’re committed to doing that. We’ve got a few players with bumps and bruises so will have to look at our selection very carefully, but we have a great squad of 32 and we’ll start preparing for that Test on Monday."
Skipper Dylan Hartley echoed his bosses words.
When the Northampton Saints hooker and SunSport columnist was asked if he could lead his men to a whitewash, he said: "Why not?
"We are a team that want to improve and be number one in the world. If we want that we must continue the job next week."
England leapfrogged Australia to second in the world rankings as they close in on world champs New Zealand.
In just SEVEN months Jones has taken the nation from World Cup laughing stock and ranking of eighth to Six Nations Grand Slam stars and now this - without losing a single game.
Even the All Blacks aren't safe from the rampant Red Rose.
Jones warned them: "We want to be the best team in the world. If the All Blacks were in this situation now, what would they be thinking? That doesn’t mean we can’t change the team, but they’d be thinking 3-0.
"They beat Wales and will now be thinking 3-0. If we want to be the best team in the world, we have to think 3-0. Australia will come back because they’re a well-coached, driven team, so we’re anticipating a feisty encounter in Sydney."
Dogged England made a bone-crunching 169 tackles compared to Australia's 49 with a fierce defence lead from the front by Chris Robshaw and James Haskell.

Jones said: "We knew they would come out and knew we had to defend and play off scraps. That’s how we executed the game.
"We handled the Australian attack pretty well. Both Robshaw and Haskell have enjoyed good series.
"They’re outstanding team men. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team so pleased for a player to get his 50th cap after what Robshaw has been through.
"We had to play rope-a-dope. That was the sort of game we had to play. We had to be tactically flexible in Test rugby and that’s why I’m so pleased for the team.
"We got an opportunity to score a try and we took it. That’s the sign of a good side. Other sides will have 60 per cent of possession and we have to be able to score points with that possession and then we’ll be a really, really good team."
Devastated Aussie boss Cheika said: "It feels pretty bad, pretty bad.
"We played a lot of footy, but that doesn't always win you the game. You have to pay credit to England, in both games they have smart. They have spoiled a lot of good ball and well done to them.
"They have seen that we are going to play a lot of footy and chosen an opposite way - that has been victorious. We will have to take it, suck it up and use the scars later on.
"I wouldn't say I was extremely pleased with the officiating, I wasn't happy with it. But I don't want it to be an excuse for not winning. The opportunities we let go through errors is at the fore-front of my mind."
And skipper Stephen Moore, who scored the Wallabies try, said his side can't give up ahead of the final game.
The hooker added: "We play for our people and the jersey. It's another chance to show what it means to us. The series is gone and we are gutted.
"I’m pretty gutted and have to get over that loss and be better next week. We are disappointed and I feel sorry for the fans. England deserved to win both Tests. They defended really well."
