A RUGBY League star spent Christmas and New Year behind bars after being charged with charged with sexual assault, theft and ABH.
Ex-Wakefield Trinity ace Richard Owen, 26, had been on remand for the alleged attack which apparently took place in November.
He spent Christmas and new year in a prison, on remand and appeared at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday charged with two offences of, 'assault by penetration', theft and ABH. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and a trial date was set for May 22.
