SLIME DUNKED

NBA icon and LA Lakers legend Kobe Bryant gunged in gold slime at the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Sports Awards in America

Newly retired two-time Olympic gold medallist with team USA followed in David Beckham's footsteps for the slime ceremony

NBA golden boy Kobe Bryant was slam-dunked in gold gunge at the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards.

The LA Lakers icon received the Legend Award in front of a studio of young fans but was instantly hit with the goo like David Beckham in 2014.

The recently-retired Black Mamba was in on the act and took the soaking in his giant stride amid chants and cheers in support of his incredible career.

On Wednesday the five-time NBA champion was honoured with the Icon Award at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles.

And he bagged another gong 24 hours later in a much messier ceremony.

It’s not surprise the global superstar was happy to take the sticky shower in good spirit after he and his wife Vanessa announced they were expecting their third daughter together.

The children’s network usually douse their stars in green slime but Bryant - and the ex-Manchester United and England midfielder - were marked out for special treatment and got the gold gloss to highlight their glorious careers.
