Brit cycling cheat storm: Rivals brand Team GB’s success ‘very questionable’ as Brits dominate Rio Olympics 2016
OLYMPIC rivals are seriously questioning how Team GB are so successful at cycling.
Jason Kenny and his British teammates have already won four golds and three silver medals on the cycling track at the Rio Olympics with Laura Trott favourite to add to the collection.
"They've got it together, and to be honest I'm not exactly sure what they've got together."
Meares is not the first person to question British success in the track cycling this summer.
German cyclist Kristina Vogel has also branded the results 'very questionable'.
She said: "I don't want to accuse anyone of anything but it is all very questionable."
And French sprint coach, Laurent Gane has said he'd 'love to know' what they're doing.
Gane told reporters in Rio: "The recipe should be asked for from our neighbours because I don't understand. I don't know what they're doing. I'd love to know.
"These are teams that do nothing extraordinary for four years and once they arrive at the Olympics they out-class the rest of the world."
At the UCI track cycling World Championships in 2015, Britain ranked 10th in the medal table winning just three silver medals with the likes of Kenny and Callum Skinner competing.
The top three of GB's most successful Olympians are all cyclists.
