Cooper Kupp admits he ‘would not be here today’ without wife Anna’s help after she supported him through college

COOPER KUPP credits his childhood sweetheart wife for him becoming a superstar after she made ends meet during college.

Wide receiver Kupp, 28, led the NFL in catches, yards and touchdowns on his way to winning offensive player of the year this week.

: “I'd go and do a CrossFit workout with her and she would just run laps around me in these workouts. I mean, it is unbelievable.

"Without a doubt, there's no doubt in my mind, not only would I not be here where I am today without her or accomplishing the things that I would be doing.

"I really believe I may not be in this - I may not be in the NFL if it wasn't for her and what she has inspired in me and pushed me to do.

“I knew that she was the one that I wanted to marry when we had first met back in high school.

"I told my mom the day I met her, 'I'm going to marry this girl.’”

Kupp added: "I'm sure if we had asked our parents they certainly would've helped out.

“But as a married couple, we thought we needed to be able to separate and be us and take care of ourselves."

Kupp was drafted by the LA Rams in 2017 after becoming one of Eastern Washington University’s best ever players.

He signed a three-year, $47m contract in 2020 and now lives in a $4.1m mansion in an exclusive LA suburb with Anna and their two sons.

Kupp said: “We've loved it here. It was quite a bit of a transition from Cheney to come down here to LA.

“The people we've met down here and the friendships we made - that's what it's all about.

“The relationships have been great and it's been an incredible blessing for me and my family.”
