Moments later a Bucs staffer was seen negotiating its return

Brady himself even gave the fan a BITCOIN – currently worth around £45,000 – to retrieve the commemorative ball.

But experts suggested the ball itself could easily have fetched around $500,000 (£363k) if the fan had managed to auction it off.

Fan Byron Kennedy was in the stands to see his beloved Bucs smash the Chicago Bears 38-3 on Sunday.

He arrived at Raymond James Stadium in a Mike Evans jersey and was front row to see his favourite player catch the 600th TD pass of Brady’s legendary career.

Evans then unknowingly gave Kennedy the surprise of his life by jumping up to the stands to hand him the historic ball.

Footage later showed the fan handing the ball back after negotiating with a Bucs staffer.

Tom Brady is the only QB to throw 600 career touchdown passes

Reports in the US suggest the ball could have been sold for over half a million dollars, with one expert even telling it could have gone for almost double that.

Brady is the only quarterback in NFL history to throw 600 career TD passes, making the ball a unique piece of memorabilia.

The QB told fellow legends Peyton and Eli Manning about how important the ball was to him when appearing with them on .

He joked: “I got it back with a lot of negotiation.

“Byron realised he lost all of his leverage once he gave the ball away. He should have held it to get as much leverage as possible.

“But I think it worked out pretty well. I’m giving him a bitcoin, so that’s pretty cool too. At the end of the day I think he’s still working out pretty well.”
