PATRICK MAHOMES was forced to have his knee popped back into place after suffering a horror NFL injury.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is facing a spell on the sidelines after dislocating his knee in a 30-6 win over the Denver Broncos on Thursday.
Mahomes was left in agony on the floor following a pileup of players.
The 24-year-old could be seen with his hands on his head as medics rushed to his aid.
Footage then brutally shows the moment one of the aids places his hand on the kneecap before popping it back into place.
Players from both teams showed their concern for the player as he limped off the field.
The injury is a huge blow to the Chiefs with Mahomes being crowned last season's MVP.
But he remained in high spirits following a scan and took to Twitter to write: "Awesome team win!
"Love my brothers! Thank you for all the prayers.
"Everything looking good so far."
