Brave Sophia Floersch behind wheel again for first time since horror 170mph crash and 11-hour op
German back on track just 105 days after being lucky to escape from Macau with just a broken spine
CRASH survivor Sophia Florsch is already back behind the wheel - just 105 days after breaking her spine.
The German speedster, 18, suffered the injury after flying off the track at 170mph at Formula Three's Macau Grand Prix.
But after an 11-hour operation and time in a neck brace, she took to the track for testing with her Van Amersfoort team.
Florsch's accident in Macau was captured in an incredible video.
Her car hit a kerb and launched into the air and off the track after ramping over rival Sho Tsuboi's vehicle.
Brave Florsch was lucky to be alive following the shunt, in which a steward and two photographers were also injured.
But she was determined not to let it slow her down and completed an incredible comeback today.
Florsch tweeted her delight at returning to action and will be back for the final day of the test event tomorrow.
