Which F1 races are live on Sky Sports and Channel 4 in 2017? TV info for rest of season
Sky Sports F1 have rights to entire 2017 season but half will be screened on terrestrial TV in the UK
BRITISH Formula One fans were able to watch the Monaco Grand Prix live on terrestrial television this year for the first time since 2012.
For the past four seasons, racing diehards had only been able to tune into the glamour event of the year if they are Sky Sports F1 subscribers.
But Channel 4 included the famous race on the street circuit of Monte Carlo on their list of the ten races they screened live in the 2017 Grand Prix season.
Sky Sports F1 has exclusive rights to broadcast all 20 races in the Formula One calendar, with Channel 4 able to screen half that number live.
The first two races were screened by the satellite channel with the Bahrain GP on April 16 the first time shown live on the terrestrial channel in 2017.
It was a comprehensive win for Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel who won the opening race in Australia on March 26, with Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas in second and third.
