Lewis Hamilton trolls Nico Rosberg by posting Instagram video of cartoon race between pair

Video shows cartoon version of Lewis blasting smoke into the face of Rosberg as he speeds away

LEWIS HAMILTON and Nico Rosberg’s title showdown is nearing its conclusion – and the pair to continue to trade blows off the track.

German driver Rosberg – who is 26 points ahead with a maximum of 75 to fight for – yesterday described the rivalry between himself and Hamilton as “intense”.

The pair have known each other since they were teenagers but have always had a rivalry on the track, especially since becoming Mercedes teammates.

And Hamilton has fuelled the fire again – this time posting a cartoon on his Instagram which shows a sprite version of himself driving against Rosberg.

Lewis captained the video ‘Not sure who did this but it’s amazing. Great work.’.

The pair zoom off when the lights turn red, only for Hamilton to pull away and leave a coughing Rosberg in a smoke cloud.

The German can clinch the championship in Mexico this weekend if he wins and Hamilton finishes below 10th.

Rosberg said: “It has been a great season so far which has put me in this position. It is exciting to be in the championship battle with Lewis towards the end of the season.

“We’ve been there before but it is very cool.

“But I have said before my way of achieving the best performance is to focus on the things within my control and that here in Mexico is to try to win the race.”

But Hamilton isn’t ready to give up his title just yet and is vowing to go hell for leather in the final three races of the season.

He said: “I’m going for it, that’s for sure. While my heart is still beating, I still have that drive to win, and there’s still an opportunity, even if it’s only 1%, I’m going to be going for it.

“If there’s any time for me to be the best I’ve ever been, it’s these last three races.”
