F1 ace Lewis Hamilton warns his championship rivals he’s back to his best ahead of debut Baku GP
After consecutive wins at Monaco and Montreal the 31-year-old is ready for Azerbaijan's first Grand Prix on Sunday
LEWIS HAMILTON warned Formula One rivals he has his mojo back after consecutive victories in Monaco and Montreal.
The world champion’s return to form has seen him slash Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg’s lead in the championship from 43 points to just nine.
Hamilton, 31, is looking to take his momentum into this weekend’s race in Baku, as the Azerbaijani capital hosts its maiden Grand Prix.
He said: “Last weekend was a really positive one for me.
"I felt strong on Friday, got the pole on Saturday — and then just felt phenomenal in the car during the race.

“After the first five races I could never have predicted I would be back at the sharp end of the title fight so soon.
“But we’re starting to have cleaner weekends as a team and are showing real strength as a unit — coming through with results even when things aren’t perfect.
“I can’t wait to get to Baku, experience another new country and see what we can do on the track.
“There’s never been a doubt in my mind over what I can do in this car.”
