Khabib trolls ‘Twitter warrior’ Conor McGregor and fans go wild over latest roasting

Rivals have been going back and forth since The Notorious announced his shock retirement from MMA

KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV has taken another dig at arch rival and now retired UFC star Conor McGregor, calling his a "Twitter warrior".

The Notorious, 30, who announced his shock retirement from MMA this week, tweeted a reply to a picture Nurmagomedov posted from the night he beat the Irishman at UFC 229.

McGregor tweeted: “You got your money took and your brothers eye socket shook when you fought me you little rat.

“Viva Las Vegas baby the gaf always wins.

“Big stomper party in the Wynn coming soon!”

Nurmagomedov replied: “Money comes and goes, the honor that you lost that evening will never return, live with it.

“Finish career in mma, but start career on twitter?”

He ended the post with the hashtag "Twitterwarrior".

BITTER RIVALRY

The unbeaten Russian had also tweeted after McGregor's retirement to claim: "There can be only one king in the jungle."

Nurmagomedov’s latest dig had fans suggesting McGregor had been “roasted” with one even suggesting Ireland was “delighted” with the Russian defeating The Notorious last year.

One said: "Boom roasted."

Another said: "The majority of People here in Ireland are delighted you made him Tap.

"He embarrasses our great nation with his actions and silly words."

One commented: "We thank you for retiring him, Khabib."

Another commented: "Khabib 2-0 Conor."
