CONOR McGregor enjoyed a recent boozy night out so much, he ended up kipping with the pub landlord.
The MMA star visited the pretty coastal town of Skerries in Co Dublin for the first time on Sunday night and was mobbed by locals.
Landlord Ollie Grimes told the Irish Sun: “I just got a call from Conor asking if he could pop out to Skerries for a bit of craic.
“I told him ‘come on out’. The next thing I knew he was stood next to the regulars in my bar.”
Word soon spread around the well-known hotspot that the UFC star was holed up in Ollie’s Place on New Street knocking back champagne.
Ollie said: “I’ve had Nicky Byrne of Westlife, and Roger Daltrey of The Who drinking in my bar but I’ve never seen anything like the crowd that turned up to see Conor.
“He really is the people’s champion, signing autographs for everyone and doing pictures.”
So in demand was the fighter, bar staff had to move the 28-year-old to different parts of the pub so he could enjoy a drink.
One of the most popular bars in north county Dublin, Ollie’s Place has a big mixed martial arts connection with head chef Stephen Kavanagh being the brother of MMA womens’ champion Sinead Kavanagh.
She is in the top 20 of current best female featherweights.
Ollie said: “That’s how Conor heard about the place. I’m glad because it was a huge night for us. Everybody came in to say hello.”

The songs and laughter went on till closing time when Ollie offered to put Conor up at his own home rather than sending him back in a taxi to Kildare.
Ollie said: “There’s no hotel in Skerries so I thought he can stay with me but I wasn’t really sure my wife would believe me when I rang her to say Conor McGregor was staying over.
“That is until I arrived home at the door with Conor beside me.
"I woke up the next morning thinking I’d dreamt the whole thing up, but there was Conor having breakfast with my family. I waved him off a while later. He was a huge hit in Skerries.”
If Conor had decided to get a taxi home from Skerries to Kildare on Sunday night, he could easily afford it.
The champion could earn £60million the minute he steps into the ring with boxer Floyd Mayweather, the biggest payday of his career.
SunSport has previously reported how McGregor had done his bit to edge the big fight one step closer.
However boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya has labelled Floyd Mayweather’s potential fight against Conor McGregor a “farce”.
Talking to fans on Facebook, the former world champ slammed plans for retired Mayweather to step in the ring with UFC star McGregor, saying: "It's a farce."
