Double Olympic champ Kayla Harrison returns at PFL 3 with ex-UFC stars Anthony Pettis and Rory MacDonald also in action
DOUBLE Olympic champion Kayla Harrison hopes to make it a hat-trick of Professional Fighters League cheques when she returns this season.
Harrison, who won judo gold at the 2012 and 2016 Games, is the reigning PFL lightweight champion.
Her wins in 2019 and 2021 saw her take home the life-changing $1million cash prize.
And Harrison returns to the cage this Friday in Texas with eyes on the treble and pound-for-pound supremacy.
She said: "I was born for this, I was given my story for a reason and I'm going to use it to change the world.
"There's only two things that matter in my life, that's my family and my legacy.
"I will go down as the greatest fighter of all time, no more noise."
PFL is MMA's only league format, spanning over a regular season and play-offs.
Fighters in eight different weight classes enter the two-fight regular season where they compete to advance to the play-offs.
That consists of a two-round quarter-final and three-round semi-final in one night, where the winner advances to the championship finale.
