Mickey Gall calls out Sage Northcutt after submitting CM Punk
Young UFC prospects were both discovered on Dana White's Looking For A Fight show
MICKEY Gall showed his Octagon smarts in his 134-second win over former WWE star CM Punk on Saturday night at UFC 203.
But the UFC new boy also revealed a canny knack for business, as he took the opportunity to call out fellow young prospect ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt, asking for the fight to take place at UFC 205 in Madison Square Garden this November.
Gall submitted Punk with ease after scoring an immediate takedown in their bout at UFC 203 in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday night.
And after his routine submission win Gall took his chance on the mic to call out Northcutt during his post-fight interview in the Octagon.
“I’ve got someone I want next. The fight everyone wants to see.
“I want ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt. I think that boy’s corny. I want to punch the spikes out of his hair.
“They say we’re Dana White Looking For A Fight young guns. Let us bang it out.
“They guys like us need protection, f**k that, I want war!”
And during a backstage interview with the UFC’s Megan Olivi, UFC president Dana White revealed plans are already underway to make the match a reality.
“After he called him out Sage’s team hit me up and they want the fight,” he said.
“So, we’ll make it happen.”
