UFC star Diego Sanchez claims he was visited by UFO while sitting on patio and ‘it was watching me’

UFC star Diego Sanchez has claimed he was visited by a UFO while sitting on his patio on Thursday.

The American MMA star - who featured in the first-ever series of The Ultimate Fighter - is well-known for his erratic behaviour.

Sanchez, 38, once claimed he thought he was dying after smoking weed, while enthusiastically praising the health benefits of sugar substitute, stevia, on another occasion.

He once also celebrated making weight for his UFC 171 fight against Myles Jury with a dinner of raw beef and raw eggs, before shockingly falling ill and losing his fight.

And on Thursday night, Sanchez claimed he and his daughter were 'contacted' by UFOs.

The fighter backed up his claim by saying 'sightings' in Albuquerque - where he lives - are common thanks to being situated close to the Hoover Dam, a UFO hotspot.

Taking to Twitter to share his sighting, the 31-13-0 star revealed he's been 'celebrating all day' since.

Sanchez tweeted: "Today a powerful portal of light energy is open.

"If there ever was a night to connect with the universe, tonight is the night.

"I have been celebrating and connecting all day.

Conor McGregor recently claimed he would love to fight Sanchez 'somewhere down the line'.

The Irish star retired from fighting for a third time in June, but is set to make a comeback in 2021.

McGregor has been linked with UFC fights against Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier as well as a boxing match with Manny Pacquiao.
