FRIDAY REPORT

Racing Report Card: A stunning winner for Gary Moore, a double for William Stone and a Gordon Elliott horse for your tracker

IT was a low-key Friday afternoon, with Market Rasen, Brighton and Uttoxeter keeping the show on the road.

A few stories popped up across the cards and we've picked out some snippets you may have missed.

1

A horse on the up 📈

4.05 Brighton - Goshen

Gary Moore's three-year-old blew his rivals away on his handicap debut.

After three low-key runs, he was stepped up to 1m4f and cruised clear for an emphatic 12-length victory.

No doubt they'll get him out soon under a penalty and he will be hard to beat.

A big double for a small yard ✌️

Newmarket trainer William Stone enjoyed a big day on the south coast as he saddled his first ever double at Brighton.

Diamond Lady ran out a game winner over 6f at odds of 6-1 before Tigerfish drew clear for a ready win at 4-1 just half an hour later.

The champagne corks will be popping at Stone towers this evening.

One for the tracker 🔭

3.45 Uttoxeter - Borice

I'm hardly sharing a state secret here, but Borice looks a novice hurdler to keep on side.

Gordon Elliot's French recruit made little impression in two outings over fences earlier this year.

But he could hardly have won any easier switched to hurdles at Uttoxeter and he could pop up at the Galway Festival.
