KEMPTON hosts a competitive day of action on Saturday, with the Magnolia Stakes and Rosebery Handicap the feature races.

We've all got all you need to know about the big meeting right here.

1

Race 1 - 1.35 Matchbook Betting Exchange EBF Novice Stakes

Living Legend could prove dangerous if let loose on the front-end under Joe Fanning.

But there was plenty to like about the way SUCELLUS opened his account on debut at Wolves, and this well-bred colt will have learned plenty from the experience.

Island Jungle looks booked for third spot.

VERDICT - 1. Sucellus 2. Living Legend 3. Island Jungle

Race 2 - 2.05 Matchbook Magnolia Stakes (Listed)

A cracking renewal of this £45,000 contest. Matterhorn is the obvious starting point, as Mark Johnston's four-year-old arrives seeking his sixth straight win.

There is every chance he could get a soft lead from stall one, and if he does he will be hard to peg back.

However, preference is for the unexposed EXTRA ELUSIVE who found the step up into Group company a culture shock when last sighted.

But he remains a horse of significant potential, he could hardly have been more impressive when winning over 1m2f here last August and his master trainer has fitted him with a first-time hood.

Mootasadir and Fabricate bring smart form to the table and also command respect.

VERDICT - 1. Extra Elusive 2. Matterhorn 3. Mootasadir

Race 3 - 2.40 Better Odds With Matchbook Handicap

GILGAMESH had some rock-solid handicap form over 6f-7f last summer.

He returns off a good mark, goes well on the all-weather and remains open to progress as a five-year-old.

Soldier's Minute was an emphatic winner over C&D last time but will need to step up again off 10lb higher.

Desert Doctor is another who arrives in good form and his excellent record on the all-weather speaks for itself.

VERDICT - 1. Gilgamesh 2. Soldier's Minute 3. Desert Doctor

Race 4 - 3.15 Matchbook Betting Podcast Rosebery Handicap

This race is red-hot. FORBIDDEN PLANET has progressed well in three starts for Roger Charlton.

He was just touched off by the thriving Executive Force (now rated 97) at Chelmsford last time, and he looks well-treated here off 86.

Desert Wind is interesting on his strong handicap turf form, with a mark of 93 not beyond him.

Count Calabash won easily here last time and should give another good account from the front-end.

Caspar The Cub, Soto Sizzler and Kelly's Dino are also worth consideration.

VERDICT - 1. Forbidden Planet 2. Desert Wind 3. Count Calabash

Race 5 - 3.50 Will Unwin Half Century Novice Stakes

The promising EARDLEY ROAD sprinted right away for a decisive victory over 6f here last month.

This extra furlong will suit and he is fancied to defy his penalty at the chief expense of Newcastle victor Daarik.

Osho didn't shape too badly on debut and is the pick of the remainder.

VERDICT - 1. Eardley Road 2. Daarik 3. Osho

Race 6 - 4.25 Matchbook Best Value Exchange Handicap

The progressive LIBERATION DAY arrives seeking the hat-trick following a pair of tenacious successes.

He remains attractively-weighted of 79 and should be able to get a handy early position from stall four.

Solar Park boasts a similar profile and is feared most ahead of Ginger Fox.

VERDICT - 1. Liberation Day 2. Solar Park 3. Ginger Fox

Race 7 - 5.00 Matchbook Casino Handicap

ILHABELA FACT is on a sharp upward curve at present.

Tony Carroll's five-year-old had plenty up his sleeve when winning here last month and could be up to defying a 6lb rise.

Nylon Speed looks the main danger ahead of Archimento.

VERDICT - 1. Ilhabela Fact 2. Nylon Speed 3. Archimento
