Today’s FREE Horse racing tips: The Betting Spy’s top picks for Saturday’s racing at Sandown and Wolverhampton

The Betting Spy is back with his top tips for Saturday's racing where the action at Sandown takes centre stage

EXTRA extra, read all about it, the Pipe team have their eyes on another Imperial Cup triumph at Sandown.

EXTRA MAG (2.25) can make his light weight tell in a race novices have a great record in and give David Pipe his fourth win to go with Dad Martin's six.

The five-year-old was set to dot up at Wetherby on his stable debut before unseating his rider at the last.

That form has worked out well and Extra Mag has since won at Exeter before failing to give 7lb to Nicky Henderson's Precious Cargo, an impressive winner again yesterday, at Kempton.

Extra Mag is 2lb wrong at the weights but he is making his handicap debut in a £75,000 race which looks significant.

The cause of his extra weight is the presence of last year's runner-up Call Me Lord, who runs off a mark of 160, 8lb higher than 12 months ago.

He deserves that lofty perch on his later form and has a great record at the Esher track but will need to post a career-best to beat all the lightweights.

First Flow was a classy novice last term but has not been seen since the opening race of last year's Cheltenham Festival.

The big danger may well be Monsieur Lecoq, who stormed up the hill when winning a course-and-distance handicap two months ago.

Even off a 12lb higher mark, he should go close.

There have been plenty of rainclouds over Sandown this week - and there could be a Silver lining for us in the 3.00.

SILVER FOREVER is the one to be with in the Listed bumper as this will be a real test on the ground and it was stamina that won Paul Nicholls' grey the prize at Ascot in December.

That day she proved too strong for Mystic Dreamer, who ran a blinder on her debut.

Nick Gifford's five-year-old should improve plenty but she is 4lb worse off with the winner and the stiff finish tips the balance in favour of Silver Forever. Whitehotchillifili is best of the rest.

AMI DESBOIS can be a punters' pal in the 3.35. He was only beaten a neck in a much classier race over course and distance five weeks ago and connections will not be complaining about a 4lb rise.

Loose Chips has been a terrific servant for Charlie Longsdon but the 13-year-old is almost top weight which indicates this is not the hottest of contests.

Commodore won a poor race impressively on his first run after a wind operation but might struggle to back that up in higher grade.

Favorito Buck's has won at three miles but might find this too much of a test.
