Today’s FREE Horse racing tips: The Betting Spy’s top picks for Saturday’s racing at Sandown and Wolverhampton

The Betting Spy is back with his top tips for Saturday's racing where the action at Sandown takes centre stage

EXTRA extra, read all about it, the Pipe team have their eyes on another Imperial Cup triumph at Sandown.

EXTRA MAG (2.25) can make his light weight tell in a race novices have a great record in and give David Pipe his fourth win to go with Dad Martin's six.

The five-year-old was set to dot up at Wetherby on his stable debut before unseating his rider at the last.

That form has worked out well and Extra Mag has since won at Exeter before failing to give 7lb to Nicky Henderson's Precious Cargo, an impressive winner again yesterday, at Kempton.

Extra Mag is 2lb wrong at the weights but he is making his handicap debut in a £75,000 race which looks significant.

The cause of his extra weight is the presence of last year's runner-up Call Me Lord, who runs off a mark of 160, 8lb higher than 12 months ago.

He deserves that lofty perch on his later form and has a great record at the Esher track but will need to post a career-best to beat all the lightweights.

First Flow was a classy novice last term but has not been seen since the opening race of last year's Cheltenham Festival.

The big danger may well be Monsieur Lecoq, who stormed up the hill when winning a course-and-distance handicap two months ago.

Even off a 12lb higher mark, he should go close.

There have been plenty of rainclouds over Sandown this week - and there could be a Silver lining for us in the 3.00.

SILVER FOREVER is the one to be with in the Listed bumper as this will be a real test on the ground and it was stamina that won Paul Nicholls' grey the prize at Ascot in December.

That day she proved too strong for Mystic Dreamer, who ran a blinder on her debut.

Nick Gifford's five-year-old should improve plenty but she is 4lb worse off with the winner and the stiff finish tips the balance in favour of Silver Forever. Whitehotchillifili is best of the rest.

AMI DESBOIS can be a punters' pal in the 3.35. He was only beaten a neck in a much classier race over course and distance five weeks ago and connections will not be complaining about a 4lb rise.

Loose Chips has been a terrific servant for Charlie Longsdon but the 13-year-old is almost top weight which indicates this is not the hottest of contests.

Commodore won a poor race impressively on his first run after a wind operation but might struggle to back that up in higher grade.

Favorito Buck's has won at three miles but might find this too much of a test.

Horatio Hornblower is on a good mark, judged on his close second in this 12 months ago but he arrived in good form then - unlike this time.

I spy an eyecatcher...

At Kempton on Wednesday evening EBURY made a winning debut in a division of the mile novice event - and could hardly have been more impressive.

Martyn Meade's colt was slowly away but came with a terrific run down the outside in the straight to win cosily from a runner-up with useful form in the book.

The winner is by Iffraaj out of a Galileo mare, who won over 1m4f, so he should stay a mile and a quarter.

The turf Flat season is only three weeks away and Ebury is a name to note. He could have a very good season.

Wolverhampton stage their big day with the ITV cameras in town and SILVER QUARTZ can land the cash in the SunRacing Lincoln Trial at 2.05.

This race rarely has much impact on events at Doncaster but it is a £50,000 race and well worth winning.

Victory Bond, winner of the Easter Classic last year, heads the weights and that race is likely to be his main target this time. He will have to be cherry ripe to concede weight here.

Pactolus, like stablemate Pinnata, has had a good winter season but both may now be in the handicapper's grasp.

Third Time Lucky was, appropriately enough, third in this 12 months ago and a repeat may be the best he can hope for.

Wahash, if fully wound up, is a danger but the solid bet is Silver.

He won a good Ascot handicap for Hugo Palmer, beating Zwayyan, before being switched to Archie Watson's yard.

The grey ran a cracker for his new trainer last time, on his first start after being gelded, over this track and trip when third, after possibly hitting the front too soon, in a decent conditions event won by Hathal.

He has not been raised by the handicapper which looks generous. He can take advantage now.

Whatever the fate of Wahash, the Richard Hannon/Tom Marquand team can land a big prize with OH THIS IS US in the Listed Sun Racing Lady Wulfruna Stakes (3.15).

He gave 24lb and a beating to Apex King when winning a hot handicap at Lingfield last time, a performance that proved he is at least as good as ever at the age of six.

There looks to be plenty of pace on so the race should be run to suit his hold-up style.

Keystroke was chinned on the line in this race last year and should go close again but there was no runner of the class of Oh This Is Us 12 months ago.

Documenting has improved all winter but needs to find a fair bit more so Island Of Life is the biggest threat. She won a classy fillies event here last time and may not have finished improving yet.
