It drifted like a barge and ran a shocker - but I'm confident my Saturday fancy can get us back in the winning groove.
JAVERT (2.40 Newbury) should run a big race in the Greatwood Gold Cup for a resurgent Emma Lavelle.
The lightly-raced 10-year-old won impressively first time out at Uttoxeter before running a cracker for second behind Frodon at Aintree.
He was far from disgraced in a hot handicap at Cheltenham when last sighted in November, and he returns from a break on a decent mark.
He goes well fresh and will appreciate drying ground conditions, and odds of around 12-1 make plenty of appeal.
