Performance of the day ⭐️

3.15 Musselburgh - Call The Cops

He is certainly not the force of old, but it was good to see this classy customer get his head back in front.

The former Nicky Henderson-trained 10-year-old, who is now with Ben Haslam, had not tasted success since landing the 2015 Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival.

He had slipped a mile down the weights but showed a gritty attitude to win by a head at odds of 7-2.

1.20 Wincanton - Old Rascals

Emma Lavelle and Leighton Aspell teamed up to land a touch at Wincanton.

Old Rascals was pulled up when last seen 70 days ago, but he returned to action having undergone a wind op.

Having been available at 11-1 this morning, he was sent off the 4-1 second favourite and duly sauntered home by 14 lengths, much to the delight of the Wincanton faithful.

4.40 Southwell - Stay Forever

Andrew Balding's lightly-raced filly caught the eye on the Fibresand.

The daughter of Harbour Watch was sent off the well-backed 2-1 favourite in the 1m novice stakes and finished second to a well-ridden front-runner.

The pair pulled 19 lengths clear of the remainder of the field, so she's one to note when returned to handicaps.
