Best horse racing tips for today’s action at Ludlow, Newcastle, Doncaster, Chelmsford and Wolverhampton from Tom Bull
Don't miss out on Tom Bull's best bets at all of Wednesday's meetings
THE last couple of days have been a total washout for me but I'm returning with confidence renewed after a lovely weekend in the country.
I reckon I've got a few tasty ones running and this is the time to stop the rot.
Ludlow
4.40 Quantum Of Solace - Fergal O'Brien's contender tends to find one too good but her performance last time out was a step in the right direction.
She just lost out to a previous winner but the pair finished clear and she's only copped a 2lb rise.
This doesn't look any harder and the drop in trip looks a good move considering she got a bit tired at the death last time.
SUMMER TIME Supreme hero Summerville Boy could return to action in Aintree Hurdle
Newcastle
3.10 Keyser Soze - Richard Spencer's five-year-old might be top weight but he's earned it and won very impressively at Lingfield last time.
Provided he's as progressive on this surface, a 5lb rise could well underestimate him.
He can improve on his near perfect record on synthetics under sand-master Adam Kirby.
Bully's Wednesday Bankers
Ludlow 4.40 - Quantum Of Solace
Doncaster 4.00 - Enjoy Responsibly
Chelmsford 7.15 - Matterhorn
Newcastle 3.10 - Keyser Soze
Wolverhampton 6.00 - Betancourt
Doncaster
4.00 Enjoy Responsibly - This is a really poor veterans' chase for all that it's nice to some of the old boys still going.
Enjoy Responsibly wasn't great last time but Fakenham isn't every horse's cup of tea and on his run before that at Newbury he would have a leading chance here.
Harrison Beswick removes 7lb and this step up in trip should help.
Chelmsford
7.15 Matterhorn - Has looked a horse to follow on the synthetics since making his debut at the end of last year, winning four of his five starts.
The handicapper has raised him 6lb for his most recent win but he looks a four-year-old going places and could be too good for this lot.
Given his rate of improvement it would be no surprise to see win this from a good draw.

Wolverhampton
6.00 Betancourt - Was possibly slightly unlucky not to land back-to-back handicap wins last time out, copping the widest draw before just failing to reel in the winner.
The drop in trip shouldn't be a problem and he almost certainly has more to come under these conditions off just 1lb higher.
He gets a small turnaround in the weights with his conqueror last time and should be able to reverse the placings.
