Sunday’s horse racing NAP: Your best bet for today’s racing from Callum Jamieson
Don't miss out on Sunday's best tip across all the cards up and down the land
AFTER a hectic Saturday comes a sleepy Sunday.
Mind you, the action on the other side of the Irish Sea is pretty tasty.
The classy BACHASSON (2.20 Navan) has been restricted to one start this year, but he was an impressive winner of a good race over 2m4f at Punchestown in December.
That was his first outing since he took a tumble in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, but he never convinced me over fences and I think the switch back to hurdles this season is a good move.
Indeed, the only time he has been beaten over hurdles has been in Grade 1 company, and he appeals as the type to progress further in this sphere, particularly over staying trips.
It's perhaps a tip in itself that Ruby Walsh has chosen to ride him over the top-rated Coquin Mas, and I've already got one eye on Bachasson for the Sun Racing Stayer's Hurdle.
