Star performer ⭐️

2.10 Plumpton - Acey Milan

Anthony Honeyball's classy performer had some brilliant form in bumpers last season, winning a red-hot race at Newbury before a cracking fourth at the Cheltenham Festival.

He was one of a number of horses in his stable affected by a virus in the early part of the season, suffering two surprise defeats over hurdles.

But he bounced back after a break to win in game style, rallying to win cosily over two miles having looked in deep trouble, and he could yet fulfil his potential when stepping up in trip.

Gamble landed 💰

3.10 Plumpton - Duc De Beauchene

Tipped up by our own Callum Jamieson, the money came fast and late for David Pipe's runner.

He was 9-2 shortly before the off but was smashed into 5-2 favouritism by the Plumpton faithful.

There was barely a moment's doubt as Tom Scudamore steered the six-year-old to a one length success.

One for the tracker 🔭

3.00 Southwell - Busy Street

Mick Appleby's runner was beaten but caught the eye at Southwell.

The seven-year-old travelled smoothly into contention under in-form rider Luke Morris over 2m.

But he got tired on the deep Fibresand surface, eventually finishing third, but he still looks capable of winning off his current mark on a faster surface or over a shorter trip.
