OREGON GOLD (1.35 Market Rasen) did well to win here last time and looked good value for his win by more than two lengths off just 4lb lower in the weights.
The bit of cut in the ground suits well and he should run another big race given he’s proven in this class.
BALLYHOME (1.00 Market Rasen) has done well this season, starting with a win at Wetherby in November before running well in better company at Cheltenham when coming home fifth.
He was a good three lengths off the pace in a stronger race than this at Haydock last time and has been left alone by the handicapper.
THISTLE DO NICELY (1.20 Wincanton) was far from disgraced in a Grade 2 contest at Ascot last time and should be hard to beat taking a fair drop in class.
He won his first two runs over hurdles before that step up in company, including here on debut by more than three lengths. This trip is ideal and he has a lot more to offer.
MOLLY CHILDERS (3.00 Wincanton) has been knocking on the door and was an excellent second at Kempton last time.
She relishes this sort of stamina test and has been left on the same mark by the handicapper.
Wizard's Each-Way Double
NOW BEN (3.25 Ludlow) put in a rare poor run in the champion hunter chase at Stratford last time and is usually consistent. It would be no surprise to see him back on the podium today.
Pair him with BREATHOFFRESHAIR (6.25 Newcastle) who loves it around here with a win and short-head second from his past two visits.
