Monday’s horse racing NAP: Your best bet for today’s racing from Callum Jamieson
Don't miss out on Monday's best tip across all the cards up and down the land
FOLLOWING a disappointing weekend on the punting front, I'm itching to get back in the Winners' Enclosure this Monday.
As expected the racing is far from mouthwatering, but an All Weather Champs qualifier has a small but select field assembled.
AIRCRAFT CARRIER (Wolverhampton, 6.15) has burst to life in recent starts.
He's hunting a hat-trick off the back of two comprehensive wins on the all weather - one of those here, and the other at Chelmsford.
He'd be a shoe in off this mark, but connections have opted for this conditions event with the clear intention of getting him qualified for AW Champs Day over Easter.
The four-year-old steps up in trip again here, but judged on the way he has seen out the trip two furlongs shorter - despite his pedigree - it should not be an issue.
LATEST IN HORSE RACING
The form of his latest romp is rock-solid, with Simon Crisford's Given Choice cruising home at Wolverhampton.
He's a horse on the up, turning out against a field mostly full of exposed stayers and despite the disadvantage at the weights, I think he's a cracking bet on Monday evening.
The other lightly-raced type is Charlie Appleby's Festival Of Ages. But he looks a questionable stayer and the fact he just looks ponderously slow is why connections are running him over this marathon trip. He should also set the market up nicely.
I'd be surprised if John Ryan's stayer is priced up anywhere near the 5-1 that's forecast however. Good luck.

Elsewhere on Monday...
Staying on the all weather, VERY HONEST (Wolverhampton, 5.15) looks a bet. He's been costly to follow on his two latest starts but looks to have found another cracking chance here and Adam Kirby should ensure he's honest in the finish.
BOLLIHOPE (Wolverhampton, 7.45) looks a certainty under a penalty providing all is well. Bet dependent on a price however.
Finally, QUANTUM OF SOLACE (Ffos Las, 3.40) should take this so long as the soft ground is no issue. It's Paddy Brennan's only ride of the day in a weak mares' handicap chase.
