Free horse racing tips for today: Kempton, Wetherby, Warwick, Lingfield and Newcastle – The Wizard of Odds’ betting preview for Saturday, January 12
The Wizard of Odds guides you through Saturday's racing at Kempton, Wetherby, Warwick, Lingfield and Newcastle
I’VE gone Mad for Warwick’s big race at 3.00.
CALETT MAD comes here in good form after a solid second at Kelso last time and can step it up here.
He was an excellent fifth in the four-miler at the Cheltenham Festival and can be relied on to keep going right to the line.
Cogry won well at Cheltenham last time and should be in the mix again from just 3lb higher in the weights.
Duel At Dawn is another for the shortlist after a pipe-opener at Haydock last time, while Un Temps Pour Tout is the pick of the outsiders.
Make it a Grey day for the bookies at Kempton. SOLOMON GREY will love stepping up in trip for the Lanzarote Hurdle at 2.40.
MOULIN ROUGE All you need for Kempton's Lanzarote Hurdle card with the Sun Racing preview
He looked rustier than an old gate on his comeback run at Doncaster last time where the flat track, slow pace and 2m distance didn’t play to his strengths.
He signed off last season with a gutsy win at Market Rasen where he went well to score from just 1lb lower in the weights than today.
On breeding, he is crying out for this longer distance as there are plenty of winners over this sort of trip in his family.
At the prices, he must be worth an each-way bet as there’s clearly lots of improvement to come.

Kloud Gate was an impressive scorer on Town Moor last time when jockey Jamie Moore didn’t have to move in landing a convincing victory.
He is proven over this trip and even a 12lb rise in the weights may not be enough to stop him striking again.
JOSSES HILL looks a decent price for Kempton’s 3.15. Nicky Henderson’s chaser ran well enough when fourth in the Grade 2 Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon last time out.
He was coming back from seven months off and a breathing operation there so should improve for the experience.
Nico De Boinville’s mount has won around here before and has every chance of hitting the frame at least.
Ballykan is another who was blowing away the cobwebs last time out, when second at Fakenham.
He was second in this race 12 months ago from a similar handicap mark and should be competitive again.
Barney Dwan could be woken up by the first-time cheekpieces after finishing third at Bangor last time. That was a decent effort and he stays well.
