Race 1 - 12.20pm Unibet Juvenile Hurdle

CHAPARRAL PRINCE defied a market drift to run well in a decent race over course and distance over Christmas.

With natural improvement he should be able to open his account for his top yard.

The Alan King-trained pair Tiffin Top and Running Cloud are the main dangers.

VERDICT - 1. Chaparral Prince 2. Tiffin Top 3. Running Cloud

LARKBARROW LAD ran with plenty of credit in a deep race at Ascot last time.

He can get his head in front here at the chief expense of Lomachenko, who carries a penalty for his comfortable Leicester win.

Bailarico is the pick of the remainder.

VERDICT - 1. Larkbarrow Lad 2. Lomachenko 3. Bailarico

A small field but all four have chances.

Narrow preference is for the talented CASSE TETE. He unseated mid-race at Ascot last time but he could blow these away if on a going day.

Amour De Nuit can chase him home, though Poker School and Mercian Prince won't be far behind.

VERDICT - 1. Casse Tete 2. Amour De Nuit 3. Poker School

A small but select field. Charbel could hardly have been more impressive in the Peterborough last time and he is probably the one to beat.

But TOP NOTCH caught the eye when third in the Long Walk Hurdle on his return last month and his record going right-handed is almost impeccable.

The brave Black Corton can chase home the top two.

VERDICT - 1. Top Notch 2. Charbel 3. Black Corton

Race 5 - 2.40pm Unibet Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle (Listed)

A typically red-hot renewal of this cracking handicap.

Kloud Gate bolted up at Doncaster and a 12lb rise might not be enough to stop him here, but he is short enough in the betting.

Darling Maltaix has also been bumped up in the weights following an impressive win at Ascot, and he looks sure to play a part.

Star Of Lanka, Cotswold Way and Doux Pretender are all serious contenders, but this can go the way of ERICK LE ROUGE.

He is progressing at a rate of knots and won with more in hand than the winning margin suggests over C&D on Boxing Day.

VERDICT - 1. Erick Le Rouge 2. Kloud Gate 3. Darling Maltaix

Race 6 - 3.15pm Unibet Handicap Chase

BARNEY DWAN raced a little lazily when third in a good race at Bangor last time.

Fergal O'Brien has reached for the cheekpieces, and the horse is on a good mark if the headgear can spark him to life.

Josses Hill is not the force of old but isn't ruled out, while Ballykan should be on the premises once more.

VERDICT - 1. Barney Dwan 2. Josses Hill 3. Ballykan

Race 7 - 3.45pm Unibet Handicap Hurdle

OAKLEY won a shade cosily over this trip at Ludlow last month.

He would ideally prefer slower ground, but he is improving and goes handicapping off a fair mark.

Eddiemaurice and Minellaforleisure are the the pick of the opposition.

VERDICT - 1. Oakley 2. Eddiemaurice 3. Minellaforleisure
