Wednesday racing tips: Two Wednesday longshots to fill your pockets at Kempton from Jack Keene

Don't miss out on these each-way bets for Wednesday, January 9 from Jack Keene

THERE'S nothing quite like an all-weather meeting under the lights at Kempton.

The Sunbury track hosts a brilliant card, with the conditions sprint at 6.15 in particular a superb little race.

But one has caught my eye in the 5.15, namely NUMERO UNO.

It's difficult to predict what sort of odds we will be dealing with, given early forecasts vary significantly, but I've got my fingers crossed that he is a decent each-way price.

The well-bred son of Dubawi (who is out of an Oaks winner) stepped up on his promise in maidens to finish fifth on handicap debut last time.

He raced a little lazily on that occasion before staying on powerfully at the death, so the fitting of blinkers looks a shrewd move.

Jack Out The Box - Wednesday's each-way picks

5.15 Kempton: Numero Uno: 'Found a very weak race here and fitting of blinkers looks a shrewd move'

6.45 Kempton: Halle's Harbour: 'Eased in class following good run at Wolves and step up to 6f a plus'

He is well-drawn in stall three and he could hardly have been found a better opening here. There is definitely a race in him off this sort of mark.

Later on the card, take a chance on HALLE'S HARBOUR (6.45).

She ran well in a deeper race than this when a solid fourth over 5f at Wolverhampton last time out.

Paul George's filly is still open to progress after just six career starts, the step up to 6f is a plus and she has bagged the inside stall.
