KAVANAGHS CORNER (2.50 Hexham) ran an excellent race on his comeback from a break at Uttoxeter last time out.
He finished a close-up second there over 2m4f and his proven stamina will be an asset at this more testing track.
The handicapper has not over-reacted to that solid effort with a 4lb rise in the weights and he relishes plenty of give in the ground, which he will get today.
EBONY GALE (1.30 Leicester) is perhaps not the ideal horse to select given he’s fallen on both his hurdles outings so far — after looking a real prospect when winning a Wincanton bumper in April.
He was going well in front when taking a tumble at the second-last at Chepstow last time out. He was likely to win that race and it’s a positive that Richard Johnson takes over in the saddle again today.
MAINSAIL ATLANTIC (1.40 Lingfield) has a good chance to get off the mark taking a fair drop in class.
LATEST IN HORSE RACING
He was beaten a neck in a handicap over course and distance last time on the back of a good run at Chelmsford. He showed promise on turf this summer, with a placed effort at Newmarket so there’s clearly some ability.
All-weather specialist Adam Kirby takes over on board today and he can lead him home.
BAILARICO (3.30 Leicester) is making his real hurdling debut here after walking over at Leicester 10 days ago.
He was a useful handicapper on the Flat and has joined a good trainer in Warren Greatrex who will have him well schooled for this first assignment.

EACH-WAY DOUBLE:
HATTONS HILL (12.50 Hexham) ran his best race for a long time when fourth on his comeback here last time out.
He has dropped to 3lb below his last winning mark, which came here 18 months ago. He stays well and won’t mind some give in the ground.
Pair him with RICOCHET (3.40 Kempton) who finished well over this trip on his all-weather debut at Kempton last time.
He looks a big price and can get in the places at least again here.
