Friday’s racing tips: Two longshots to fill your pockets at Ascot and Kempton from Jack Keene
Don't miss out on these each-way bets for Friday, November 23 from Jack Keene
FLAT RACING is where my heart lies.
But there are a handful of tracks where I've enjoyed plenty of luck punting on the twig-hoppers.
One of those is Ascot, and TINTERN THEATRE (3.15) has caught my eye at the Berkshire venue.
Drama seems to follow the aptly-named chaser around - his jumping can either be top-notch or heart-in-mouth.
He readily won a good handicap chase at Kempton last December, and his subsequent defeats came in some red-hot company.
This stiff right-handed track will play to his strengths - all three of his wins have come going right-handed - and he has now slipped 2lb below his last winning mark.
Jack Out The Box - Friday's each-way picks
3.15 ASCOT - Tintern Theatre: 'Will have come on for reappearance and now on a good mark'
7.15 KEMPTON - Goodwood Sonnet: 'Should have more to offer after good nursery debut at Notts'
In the 7.15 at Kempton, the promising GOODWOOD SONNET has snuck in at the foot of the weights.
William Knight's two-year-old didn't offer much in maidens but went into the notebook on his handicap debut at Nottingham.
On his first outing since a gelding op, he relished the step up to a mile and ran on in taking fashion for fourth from an unpromising position.
He's been dropped 1lb for that effort and there should be a good gallop on here, which will tee things up nicely for top jock Jason Watson.
