Monday’s racing tips: Two longshots to fill your pockets at Kempton from Jack Keene
Don't miss out on these each-way bets for Monday, November 19 from Jack Keene
DON'T let those Monday blues get you down.
Nothing warms the cockles quite like a good punt, especially when you're bashing the bookies with a big-priced beauty.
Kempton is the King of the all-weather tracks - you can always rely on decent field sizes and good quality action.
Marco Botti perhaps hasn't scaled the heights that were once expected of him as a trainer, but he's definitely a man to follow at the Sunbury course.
The Italian stallion had two winners at Kempton last week and he's got a cracking chance to boost his record with JELLMOOD (5.00).
The three-year-old had some smart form last season before running well this spring, including a good fourth to Group 1 performer King's Shield at this course.
Jack Out The Box - Monday's each-way picks
5.00 KEMPTON - Jellmood: 'Dropped to a good-looking mark and he should go well from a good draw'
6.00 KEMPTON - Pipes Of Peace: 'Caught the eye here recently and has had a wind op since his last run'
He has been slowly warming up after a lay-off and has had excuses for his two defeats this autumn, being poorly-placed both times.
The handicapper has eased him to a juicy mark of 85 and talented claimer Ray Dawson takes off a further 5lb - he must go well from a good draw.
That contest is just an appetiser for the main course, however, with the £75,000 London Middle Distance Series Final taking centre stage at 6.00.
Top-weight Buzz is the one to beat, but wily Seamus Durack has been getting a right tune out of PIPES OF PEACE.
The well-bred Irish import has caught the eye at this track the last twice, beaten a short-head into second on his stable debut before an equally-good third last time.
He chased home a rapidly progressive rival on that occasion - who has won again since - and he lines up off an unchanged mark.
He has had a wind op and should get a strong pace to aim at here, so expect to see Aidan O'Brien's cast-off him coming home late and fast.
