Best horse racing tips: Sun Racing’s top picks for today’s racing at Taunton, Ludlow, Southwell, Chelmsford and Kempton

Don't miss out on Sun Racing's best bet and each-way shot at all of today's meetings

THREE meetings on the all weather with another two over the jumps makes it a busy day of racing this Thursday.

We've got you covered though and have picked out our strongest fancies across the cards.

1

Southwell

Best bet

12.10 Sheerian - Finished second here on Monday to an Irish raider and pulled a ridiculous 16 lengths clear of third. Connections clearly think he's ready to win getting him out again this quickly.

Each way

2.15 Lads Order - Has some decent form for this level behind him and makes his debut for the Mick Appleby yard. Just the trainer to get the most out of a horse like this making his all weather bow off just 57.

Kempton

Best bet

5.30 The Pinto Kid - Up four pounds for a cosy win here last time out. This race looks no tougher and the extra furlong should suit down to a tee.

Each way

6.00 Fitzwilly - The Channon team remain in good nick and this stayer looks over priced in an open race. Course and distance winner on his last visit here and remains only two pounds higher.

Chelmsford

Best bet

7.15 Dolcissimo - Off for a few months now but second to Lush Life on last start and that form reads very well at this level. Looks nicely treated in this Class 5.

Each way

8.15 Sukhovey - Sliding down the weights at speed and should be able to make it pay soon enough. Good fourth last time out in a decent race for the grade and dropped another two pounds. Good each way chance.

Taunton

Best bet

1.30 Braquer D'Or - The Nicholls stable have hit their stride in recent days and Braquer D'Or looks to have found a nice opening here. He looks on a winning mark and won't mind the quick ground in the slightest.

Each way

3.10 Silver Quay - This race won't take much winning and off this mark you have to give Jimmy Frost's veteran a sniff. Loves the quick surface and Bryony Frost takes off another valuable three.

Ludlow

Best bet

2.25 Samarquand - Won a good bumper on debut and not convinced by the Alan King horse in this. The Fry stable keep having winners and this looks a good starting point over hurdles.

Each way

NA - Small field sizes make this impossible. Keep your pennies in your pocket.
