I ARRIVED back safely from America on Friday and was relatively oblivious to the fires going on in Malibu despite staying just 20 miles away.
Hard to even start to understand what some people have gone through.
Back in the world of horse racing I was straight back to action at Wincanton, where Present Man was in awesome shape under Bryony Frost.
Well done to her in the Badger Ales. Indeed she rode out her claim at Kempton Monday. She's at the top of her game.
Does she make my Good, Bad or Ugly column though?
Let's find out.

GOOD
This week it has to be the news Charlie Poste is engaged! It gives hope to us all. Only joking Charlie.
Genuinely, the Welsh National-winning jockey is one of the good guys in my book.
Charlie will never make huge headlines in the world of National Hunt, but he's an intelligent rider who grafts and puts a shift in.
Not everyone can be Richard Johnson, yet that doesn't mean someone like Poste can't get the job done.
It appears he's getting it done in more ways than one!

BAD
It's not been a good couple of weeks for returning super stars. First Samcro was defeated at Down Royal, then Footpad fell when labouring at Naas.
Neither looked anything like the supreme beasts they had done last season, and both will have to improve dramatically to take a hand at the top level this term.
It's a big jump from the novice division to open company, and only time will tell if these two boys make it.
Samcro has more scope than Footpad in my opinion.
UGLY
Conditional rider Evan Daly was cautioned by stewards after he was nearly struck by the field in the back straight while out running during Navan’s Grade 3 For Auction Novice Hurdle on Sunday.
Daly was listening to music on his headphones while running around the track in preparation for a ride later on the card.
Obviously this was just a freak moment, which nearly became very ugly.
However, I'm amazed more accidents don't happen for those who constantly wear headphones.
The number of times people appear oblivious to the rest of the world while using headphone is ridiculous.
Those who wear headphones out and about are often some of the most ignorant people on the planet.
It's as if headphones allow manners to be thrown out the window. Rant over.
