DOLOS (2.35 Carlisle) came back from six months off to run an excellent second at Newton Abbot last time out.

He travelled well there but gave the eventual winner too much rope and couldn’t bridge the gap in the closing stages.

He stays well, which is a real asset at Carlisle and there should be more to come from this five-year-old.

MAYBE TODAY (3.20 Southwell) has been consistent and looked a nice prospect when finishing second on her handicap debut at Windsor last time out.

She was doing her best work in the closing stages over the 1m2f trip there so this longer distance should be right up her street.

Trainer Simon Crisford continues in good form and there should be a lot more to come.

EPATANTE (12.45 Kempton) probably won’t be a big price but he showed lots of promise in his native France and has joined top connections.

Nicky Henderson has made a flying start to the season and, given he won a Grade 1 bumper at St Cloud, it will be disappointing if he’s not good enough to win this.

CAP DU NORD (1.15 Kempton) looks a fair price given how well he ran here last time out.

He showed improved form on his previous chase outings when finishing second in similar company to this.

He wasn’t too many questions once the winner had flown and he shapes as though there’s much better to come.
